Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel Wedding for Andrew and Lisa

In Uncategorized by admin

A beautiful day. A stunning location. The best couple. Sometimes a wedding has so many perfect elements its so difficult to put into words how great a wedding this was – its lucky we are photographers so I do not have to! The wedding took place largely in the beautifully landscaped gardens of Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel . These gardens are situated on the banks of Thorpeness mere and boating lake with its own jetty which played a big role in Lisa’s arrival. Lisa got ready a short distance from the Thorpness boathouse and it was her wish to have a rowing boat take her to the wedding ceremony. With Andrew and the wedding guests waiting at the jetty Lisa was rowed across the mere, so many photo oppourtunites for us!

The wedding ceremony took place in the pavilion at the venue, we were treated to one of the most perfect summers days which made this such a amazing day. After the ceremony a drinks reception was enjoyed by the guests in the gardens whilist Andrew and Lisa took some time out in their rowing boat to relax and enjoy their day. When they got back we were able to explore the grounds and use the iconic Thorpeness Windmill and the House in the clouds as a backdrop for our wedding portraits.

The wedding breakfast took place in the restaurant at Thorpness Golf Club where the couple and their guests and able to enjoy a amazing meal. Not long after the meal their was a unique element to this wedding with the whole wedding party enjoying a game of crazy golf – I hope this catches on! Being located just down the bech from Aldeburgh the day finished off with a walk down the beach to the famous Fish and Chip shop in Aldeburgh so the bride and groom could have a fish and chip supper on the beach with their guest a perfect way to end the day
